Hill News Sunday, May 19, 2013 9A Chapel Hill Emanjula Derricus Brown, 33, of 80 Diagonal Toccoa, was charged May 6 with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, police report- ed. Recio Bernard Harvey, 38, of 1020 Bradford Anniston, Ala. was charged May 6 with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, police report- ed. Police reported break-ins: at a residence on the 300 block of Sonoma Way May 8 in which the rear door was pried open causing $200 damage. at a residence on the 100 block of Stinson Street May 7 in which the basement door was pried open to enter and steal a scooter valued at $2,000.

at a business on the 300 block of Pittsboro Street May 7 in which the two front doors were kicked in causing $800 damage. Police reported the larceny of a log splitter valued at $1,500 from alongside U.S. 15-501 South on May 6. Police reported the larceny of a scooter May 7 from a residence on the 100 block Longview Street in which the scooter, valued at $800, was stolen from the drive- way. Police reported the larceny of a scooter on the 700 block of North Columbia Street April 30 in which the scooter, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the front lawn of the victim.

Police reported larcenies from vehicles on: the 2500 block of Elliot Road May 2 in which the vehicle in a parking area had its window bro- ken out causing $300 damage and taking a purse, cash and credit cards valued at $560. the 700 block of Old Mill Road between April 28-29 in which the unlocked vehicle parked at the home of the victim was entered and items including gift cards, a cell phone and wallet, all valued at $420.84, stolen. Carrboro Police reported break-ins: at a residence on the 100 block of Crest Street May 6 in which a larceny occurred. at a business on the 200 block of North Greensboro Street May 4 in which a beer bottle was used to break the glass front door to attempt to gain access to the reg- ister. at a residence on the 500 block of Jones Ferry Road May 3 in which the front door was forced open.

Stephanie Anjou Scolnik, 24, 605 Jones Ferry Road Apt JJ3 was charged April 24 with felony assault by strangulation, police reported. Police reported break-ins to residences on: the 300 block of Broad Street May 1 in which the side door was kicked in and several items stolen. the 500 block of Jones Ferry Road April 28 Hillsborough Terrence Andrew Bane, 32, was charged May 6 with three counts of felony breaking and en- tering, three counts of larceny af- ter breaking and entering, two counts of obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor injury to personal property, po- lice reported. Antonio Donovan Nelson Far- rington, 26, was charged May 6 with numerous charges including first-degree kidnapping, first-de- gree burglary, several counts of attempted robbery with a dan- gerous weapon, and assault with intent to kill inflicting serious inju- ry, police reported. Robert Herbert Wilkins, 44, was charged May 5 with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, police reported.

Hunter Weston Mills, 22, was charged May 4 with felony pos- session of stolen goods and mis- demeanor probation violation, police reported. Police reported the larceny of an air-conditioning unit from a residence on the 7400 block of N.C. 59 in the Cedar Grove area on May 3. Jacob Michael Davis, 23, was charged May 1 with felony traf- ficking in marijuana, felony pos- session with intent to sell or deliv- er marijuana, and felony main- taining a place for controlled sub- stances, police reported. John Guy Iv Davis, 25, was charged May 1 with felony traf- ficking in marijuana, felony pos- session with intent to sell or deliv- er marijuana, and felony main- taining a place for controlled sub- stances, police reported.

Jimmy Wayne Stone, 49 was charged April 23 with first-de- gree burglary, felony larceny af- ter break-in, four counts of fail- ure to appear and resisting ar- rest, police reported. Police reported a pair of ATV larcenies, each valued at $2,500, from the Efland area April 27 and April 28 in which the vehicles were stolen from properties on the 8000 block of Harmony Church Road and the 3700 block of Mill Creek Road. Police reported the larceny of two air conditioning units, valued at $6,500, from a community center in the Caldwell area on April 30. The search warrants were resealed Tuesday for another 60 days in the death of Faith Hedgepeth, 19, a junior from Warrenton. A judge said previously the were sealed to keep informa- tion confiden- tial that only investigators and the suspects might know.

Police did release some information in January about DNA evidence gath- ered from the scene Hedgepeth was found dead Sept. 7, 2012, in her Haw- thorne at the View apartment on Old Chapel Hill Road. Chapel Hill investigators still have not released a cause of death. Anyone with information should call the Chapel Hill i a a 919-614-6363 or Crime Stop- pers at 919-942-7515.
