School near Fair Park in south Dallas Arlene Davis 5 I was emptying trash into a garbage bin behind the school shortly before 1 I am when she heard a pop she recalled She finished emptying the trash and then went bacl inside the school according to Gail Chandler the Dallas school district's media relations director Once back in he building pavis told investigators she felt a Oarm liquid runninedown her left leg went to her break area summoned a supervisor and rolled up her pants leg to discover a bullet hole about an inch above her left knee She had no recollection of the bullet striking her Chandler saidt She said Davis was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital where she was in serious condition Detective Edwin Ruiz-Diaz who is investigating the shooting said Davis was facing away from the school as she was emptying the trash so the shot had to come from the neighborhood off the campus "Right now we have no idea where the shot came from or from what caliber weapon" he said "All we know is that it left a pretty small hole" 1 I 1.
