The Morning Session. This morning's session of the society was called to order at 0.30 o'clock. The attendance was larger than at the first session Tuesday. The session was devoted almost exclusively to the presentation of papers and discussions. Dr.

Julian, of Thomasville, was in the chair. Dr. Eugene B. Clenn, of Asheville, presented a paper on ''Chnndromata," with report on case, including several photographs. Dr.

L. B. McBrayer, of Asheville, read an interesting paper on "The Importance of the Work of the General Practitioner." Dr. McBrayer gave it as his opinion that the general practitioner was a safety-valve between the patient and the specialist. He said the greatest need of the medical profession today was the ability to make early diagnosis of cases, lie pointed out the importanee of practitioners being able to make such diagnosis and said he should be as competent for such diagnosis as the special all the Second regiment, North Carolina National Guard, except Company will participate in the maneuvers with regulars at Chickamauga for ten days beginning July 1.
