second round of- the US Open Cup soccer tournament The Sounders Select team advances to the round of 16 in the tournament which features all 12 MLS teams competing against amateur and professional teams from around the United States The Burn which won the tournament in 1997 was eliminated "We only train twice a week whenever these guys can get there because they work" Seattle coach Teddy Mitalis said "These guys have been fighting hard all year and have been doing a great job It's all heart I told them we have nothing to lose We're an amateur team all college kids I mean we have three up only one earned run against Montgomery but dropped a Montgomii3 3-2 decision to Cats 2 the Wings thanks to two runs scored on an eighth-inning error "We just need to score some runs" Guzman said "Hopefully we'll come around" The Cats (9-12) and the Wings (12-12) were tied at 1 when Montgomery center fielder David Devey hit a grounder to Fort Worth second baseman Chris Houser whose throwing error allowed Devey to get on base Tim Still moved Devey to second base with a grounder through the hole between first and second and Brennan Dees' line drive to center drove in Devey to score Still
