Monterey Sacramento police say a man injured in an Oak Park shooting Thursday afternoon is expected to survive. The shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Mar- tin Luther King Jr. Boule- vard, according to police. The Sacramento Fire Department reported the shooting took place in front of Station 6 at 3309 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Sacramento Police spokesman Sgt. Bryce Heinlein said the victim underwent surgery. Hein- lein said he did not know the age or the circumstances surround- ing the shooting. A section of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was closed between Sev- enth and Ninth avenues for investigation of the shooting scene.

Police reported that the road reopened to traffic about 3:30 p.m. Cathy Locke: 916-321-5287, Park shooting victim expected to survive after undergoing surgery BY CATHY LOCKE STOCKTON Service Employee In- ternational Union 1021 members were on strike for a third day on Thurs- day, holding a march and a rally at San Joaquin General Hospital in the afternoon.
