bridge said to be on the old Farm Road 157 about a mile west of where it is today was replaced with a culvert But some say you can still hear screams and see fires in the direction of the old bridge it that "Old Man Thornton" lived there They say the old man snatched children and pets from the streets leaving their skeletons inside the house Across the street the old Phi Delt fraternity house was said to be haunted before it was torn down for the Salvation Army building It is said that a Phi Delt died in the house long ago and that his ghost won't leave until a degree is conferred allegories
