SMITH Fort Worth Star-Telegram The Fox network stunned the broadcasting world yesterday by gaining the affiliation of a dozen major-market TV stations including KDFWChannel 4 putting the local CBS affiliation up for grabs in the eighth-largest US market As part of the deal for the stations currently affiliated with ABC CBS or NBC Channel 4 will apparently become a Fox affiliate sometime next year KDAFChannel 33 the local Fox owned-and-operated affiliate will be sold None of the changes will apparently affect programming including the appearance of the Dallas Cowboys and the National Football League on Channel 33 next season before March "This agreement will forever change the competitive landscape of network television" said Rupert Murdoch chairman and chief executive officer of
