Dr. C. A. Lawlah, aged 64, who had practiced medicine in Pine Bluff, for the last 35 years, passed away Saturday, March 23. A native of Bessemer, Alabama, Dr.

Lawlah received his bachelor of arts degree from Morehouse College in 1925 and was a graduate of the University of Chicago College of Medicine, and received an honorary doctor of science degree from the college in 1967. At the time of his death, he was treasurer of the Jefferson County Medical Society and the Southwestern Medical Association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cassa Hamilton Lawlah (formerly of Hope, and daughter of the late Professor T. A.
