Paul SboU ... finalist In competition Teen h Named Scholar Finalist NEW WINDSOR - Paul Sholl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale ShoII, New Windsor, has been named a finalist in the 1073 NaUonal Merit Scholarship program, and has been awarded a certificate of merit A senior at Winola High School, Viola, Shell ranks among the half-of-onc-per cent of Uiis year's graduating high school seniors across the nation to be honored by the scholarship program. Sholl has played In concert and Jazz bands and been on the Mgh school football team. He plans to attend the University of Illinois next fall. Activities Are Set for Week In Viola Area VIOLA - Holy Week activities have been planned by three churches in the Viola area. Rev. Dennis Scott, pastor of St. Jbhn'^ Catholic Church, Viola, and St Anthony's Catholic Church, Mathervil'Ie, has announced the schedule for his churches: Mass of the Last Supper Maundy Thursday in each church at 7 p.m., and Liturgy of the Lord's Passion in both churches Good Friday at 7 p.m. Oonfesslons will be heard in both churches "Thursday and Friday from 6:15-6:45 p.m., and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. In the Matherville diurcb only, confessions will be heard Saturday from 3-4:30 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass will be held at St Anthony's Church Saturday at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, Mass will be held at 7:30 a.m. at St. John's Church and at 9:15 and 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's CSiurcfa. Joint services for the Viola United Methodist and Viola United Presbyterian churches are scheduled at the United Presbyterian Church April 18 at 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday communion services are scheduled at each church at 7:30 p.m. A joint service will be held at Viola United Methodist Church Good Friday at 7:30 p.m. A joint sunrise service is planned at the United Methodist Church Sunday at 6 a.m. A breakfast will follow the service. Each church will have church school at 9:15 and worship at 10:30 a.m. New Windsor Group Slates Hunt for E^^s NEW WINDSOR - The annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the New Windsor Businessmen's Assn. will be held at the grade school grounds April 21 at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded m three categories — preschool, grades 1-3 and grades 4-6, a spokesman announced. New Windsor United Presbyterian Church's Junior Missionary Society has approved donations totaUng $30 to mission stations in Alaska and Ethiopia and to the American Indians.
