died today according to a wire from the Rutk County Newt to the Eagle BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH COLLEGE STATION July Robert Milner news of whose death has reached here was presi dent of the A and College from 1908 to the summer of 1912 He was at one time state commissionei of agriculture then a member of the board of directors of A and from which position he was chosen as head of the institution Under him the school had a marked growth and was recognized by the War De partment as a military college of the first rank Col Milner succeeded Dr IL Harrington and was suc hv Dr Bizzell after an interval Mrs Tatum were en route to omble Arkansas that his mother had been injured at 6:15 this morning while changing cars at Gurgen Mrs Tatum has a fractur ed hip and wrist caused by falling Just as she was about to step from the train it made a jerk and threw her to the ground with the above re sults Mrs Tatum and daughter Miss Bernelle left Bryan Monday for a visit to relatives at Womble Ark The extent for 'divorce here today The petition1 was filed in the eigh tieth district court and shows that the Mayfields were married July 19 1923 and separated July 22 1923 The allegation asserts Myafield was of the duties and obli gation of his maritial The crowd of about 2000 persons which attended the nublic meeting under the auspices of the Ku Klux Klan on the Court House lawn Monday night was addressed for ab out half hour beginning at 8:15 by a representative of the Klan fftom another city: The audience stood or sat on the grassy iXn and gave the speaker good attention One light at the east entrance to the Court House dimly showed his features There was no other light nearer than the street corner PJung ing into his subject the speaker said Ladies and gentlemen I am glad to be here toniht to talk to you about the Klan I ama Klansinan but you know me and I do not know you from off Continuing the speaker endeavored to correct the misapprehension which he said many of the pub were under as to the nature of the Klan The Klan he as serted is an organization for the good of the country and while it does nt admit foreigners Jews or Catholics to mem bership it is not because it
