Como su ira me parecio exagerada tambien exagere le dije: "No me parece la mejor pelicula del ano" Me miro indecisa de si mandarme al demonio al manicomio pero por suerte prosiguio su camino sin entrarme a sombrillazos The Hidden polariza opiniones asi que la recomiendo con extremas reservas Pero a este director Jack Shalder conviene seguirle los pasos Por RENE JORDAN Critieo de cine de El Huevo Herald La oovela Less Than Zero de Bret Eastern Ellis era muy sensacionalista claramente imposible de rodar Este retrato en acido de jovencitos adinerados metidos en drogas en Los Angeles culmina en escenas tan espeluznantes que no quiero referirlas ni recordarlas Pues bien como el best seller no se podia filmar optaron muy habilmente por no filmarlo La cinta es otra cosa: una advertencia racional de no oler cocaina porque lleva a la muerte Esta es una idea muy loable decente pero como cine resulta una conferencia ilustrada de los peligros que acechan a la juventud en desenfreno El director es Marek Kaniewska que ya idealizo un espanto colegial-homosexual de traidores britanicos en Another Country tan bella como inverosimil Marek es estilista visual del genero de Ridley Scott Less Than Zero le queda igualmente lindisima: piscinas discotecas arrebatos de decoracion interior chocantemente interrumpidos por vomitos de drogadictos Andrew MacCarthy Jami Greer sobre todo Robert Downey Jr son jovenes actores de merito pero estan contando una histona muy fea en un ambiente precioso preciosistc rutilante negation del espanto prevaleciente Ante el tono predicador de la cinta en tan refinado envoltorio uno se queda irritado vact'o Con todos sus defectos el libro de Ellis provocaba el espanto existencial que le falta a esta pelicula de mal6vola postalita Fatal
