We, the Citizen's Ticket delegates in vention assembled, do denounce the present administration of our village and dlty aflalrs as Ir competent, reckless and unbusinesslike In that while the legitimate expenditures should and could easily have been brongbt within the revenues, yet we find that when this outgoing administration ctle Into ofil: there was an Indebtedness of about M090 and that village warrants were worth and Were sold at 96 cents on the dollar.

Wo now have an and unaudited, of nearly $18,000, and our warrants going begging for buyers at 7k cents on tie dollar. That the revenues that bate or should have brtsa collected havo been in only' accounted for and that business methods have been wantlug in the conduct of the same. That the meetings of the board of trustees have been most undignified and that the going admistratlon docs not have nor serve the confidence of our citizens. That the taxes at present are heavy but if the extravagant and unnecessary tures, eouplcd with unaccounted for revenues during the past year, over and above tlie legitimate and necessary expense of running our city, wore to be borne by the taxpayers Instead of remaining an unliquidated debt, tho value of property would be reduced and business crippled and driven from our midst. We assert that moneys have been essarily wasted by officers of the outgolug ministration in junketing trips and we point to the adjustment of the tax matter as the only case which has resulted In good and benefit to ourcltlsens, which was plished by the efforts of Individual business Bin without expense to the city.

We believe that our city affairs should be rnn on a business basis and by business men and not by politicians nor for politics! ends. That tho debt of onr city should bo wiped out as rapidly as possible. That our city and village warrants should be worth 100 cents on the dollar. That the rovonues of the city should be collected promptly and that the tures should be reduced and brought within the revenues. And we do believe and assert that the penditures, legal and legitimate, can and should be brought within the revenues.

And we do pledge ourselves to support and clect at tho coming election men who can and will see to It that our affairs are conducted on business principles. In conclusion addresses were made by a number of the nees and others who are porting the ticket, the remarks being well received by the large audienc3 present. LOCAL NOTES AND COMMENT.
