It's obvious (exploitation and titillation) will accomplish what providing intelligent, quality programming won't.

Now, when a policewoman In a small Ohio town got into trouble recently with her bosses for posing nude for a girlie magazine, it was obvious that the boys would jump on this for prime-time exposure. Just the title of the resulting television movie is enough to exploit and titillate viewer expectations "Policewoman Centerfold," NBC, tonight at 9. But, as is so often true, the title was selected for its hype potential, not because it reflects the tone and substance of the flick. As is the wont of television, a few of the facts of the actual situation have been juggled around a bit the small town involved, for example, is now in New Mexico but the bulk of the story remains unchanged. And, to the credit of executive producer Frank von Zerneck and writer Jan Worthington, the movie downplays the sensational aspects of the matter to concentrate on the motivation of the woman and the aftermath of the photos' publication.
