Pennsylvania 8. Harvard scored 22 points in the first and points in the second half, while Pennsylvania scored 6 points In the first hair.

This single touchdown was a gift of Marshall, Harvard's quarterback. Rey nolds kicked the ball to Harvard's yard line, where Marshall fumbled It Mitchell gathered in an ran about 20 yards for a touchdown. After this Pennsylvania's chances pf scoring could never be considered seriously. Once they were near enough to Harvard's goal to try a goal from placement, but the ball went wide of the mark. Pennsylvania's efforts to advance the ball were really distressing.

No better proof of this is needed than the fact that during the first half the red and blue only gained four first downs, while Harvard gained 27. Only once during, the entire seventy minutes did the Philadelphia eleven show anything like real foothaii from the twenty-five yard line. The ball was sent titty yards to the Dentals Hen- shaw broke through right tackle for eighty yards and a touch down. 1 J. Stewart kicked goal.

The half ended soon after the Dentals' kickoff with the ball well In Medic territory. 1 The second half with the exception of Tucker's kick was devoid of sensational plays. The Dentals went In with a determination to score. It wa a line bucking and punting contest. Neither goal was approached closer than the 20-yard line.

The Medics were this close to the Dentals' goal once, but were unable to keep the ball long enough to score. The ball was carried back and forth between the 25-yard lines and was near the Medic 43-yard line When Tucker made the place kick which made the five point for the Dentals. The line-up: Dentals. S. Ran Over the Lawrence High School, A crowd of some three hundred persona yesterday vUwed on Washburn field the most sensational football game seen In Topka this year, between the Kansas Medics and the Kansas City Dental col-lpgre. In which the Topeka doctors de-iated the Dentals by the score of 6 to 5. The Dentals were a eomplete surprise to the It was generally supposed that the Topeka Medics, with their heavy line, would eat up the Kansas City team with ease, but a 50 yard run by Corney of the Dentals, followed by a 70 yard run by Tucker after the Medio haA hn tnrA by a Score of 33 to 0. The Topeka High school football team continuously In Harvard's territory, but this was due not so much to Pennsylva nla's strength as to Harvard's execrable fumbling.

The visitors were visibly affected with rattles during the first few minutes of play, but when they struck their gait it was only a question of the proportions of the score. Strangely enough Captain Campbell was responsible for the majority of Harvard's penalties in the early stages of the contests. In point of fumbling both teams were about equal, but Pennsylvania was penalised three times to Harvard's once, for offside. The chief offender in thia respect for Pennsylvania was Mitchell, who took Piekarki's place. Time and again he would plunge into the line before the Harvard man started and the net result of his over anxiety was a gain of 40 yards for Harvard.

His offenses finally became unbearable and he was taken out of the game. Never has so much feeling been shown in a game between these big universities as was manifest thia afternoon. There were numerous slugging matches, and near the close of the game Umpire Dashiel ordered Jordan out of the contest. Gardner, who was acting captain for Pennsylvania, pleaded with the um it up to within two minutes of time for the end of the game, when they quit the field with the bail within ten yards of the goal, because the referee decided the plg-skin belonged to the Normals. At the start the game was delayed forty minutes because the visitors insisted in playing Wade Moore, a former coach of Kansas university, instead of one of the players agreed on by contract.

The visitors all through depended on strength and bucking, as they averaged 175 pounds to the Normals 160. On the other hand the Normals depended entirely on strategy, punting and end running until near the middle of the last half, when to the surprise of the large crowd in at tendance, as well as to the visitiors, they commenced aggressive bucking and succeeded till after time in successfully piercing the lines of their heavy opponents for gains, taking the ball back to within twenty yeards of "their home goal. The most successful plays made by tho Agricultural college were In climbing over the heads of the Normal With one brilliant run for forty yards by Chase and one successful punt. The Normals made a number of brilliant end runs. Middlekauff especialy distinguished himself in this line.

McFarland, for the students, also succeeded In making a forty yard run around the left end. The only touch down was made by Middlekauff, who on a fumble by the Farmers, grabbed the ball and started around their left end and ran until he had placed the Advmrllmmrm of Ex met Troths. ran over the football team from Lawrence on the Washburn field yesterday afternoon by a score of 33 to 0. The Topeka players so far outclassed the visitors that the game was uninteresting except for the star plays of individual men. Tho ball was in the possession of the Lawrence team only twice and each time they failed to make their five yards.

Even when Topeka kicked off the ball rolled behind the goal posts and the Lawrence team was held for a touchdown which gave the Lawrence team the kickoff from their 23-yard line. The boy who played right end on the Lawrence team is only about four and one-half feet high and weighs less than one hundreit pounds. He was the best player among the visitors and won the admiration of the crowd by getting into every play and by his fine tackling. Shortly after the beginning Of the first half, with the ball on the Medics' 20 yard line, he made a try for a goal by a drop kick from the side of the field.

This try failed. At the end of the second half, with the ball barely in the Medics' territory and only a half minute to play and no chance of a touchdown for the Dentals, Tucker, by a place kick from the 45 yards line, sent the pigskin between tho Medics' goal post3. To the Fpectators it seemed as though It would never fall. Every player stood still in his position and made no attempt to follow the ball. When it finally dropped it landed squarely back of the center of the Medic goal. It was long enough to have from the center of the field 10 yards further back.
