Christian Burial will be at 10 am tomorrow at St Patrick Cathedral Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery Mr Cmmley was born in Chickasha Okla In 1908 his family came to Fort Worth where his father was chief dispatcher for the Rock Island Railroad a position he later held in Galveston In 1911 the family moved to Chanute Kan and his father entered the natural gas production business supplying natural gas to the city Mr Crumley was a 1931 graduate of Georgetown University Law School in Washington and began practicing law in Fort Worth in 1932 In 1935 he married Mary Cecilia Gaudin a Fort Worth native whose family owned a bakery business He was assistant city attorney in charge of tax matters from 1937 until he entered the Army Air Force in 1942 He served 42 months He was an intelligence officer in the European theater for three years and was with the 347th Fighter Group during the Normandy invasion After his discharge as a major he returned to the city attomey's office but left six months later to enter private practice In I 952 he joined the Cantey Hanger Johnson Scarborough and Gooch law firm and later became a partner Mr Crumley left the partnership in 1961 to form his own law fim When Rhinehart Rouer retired as city attorney they formed a partnership Mr Crumley one of Fort Worth's foremost trial attorneys also was active in the Catholic Church In I 952 by order of Pope Pius XII Mr Crumley was made a Knight of St Gregory an order founded in 1831 by Pope Gregory XVI with worldwide Membership limited at the time of Mr Ctumley's appointment to 300 members Mr Cmmley was cited for the honor "as a practical Catholic an outstanding citizen and member of the legal profession with an unblemished reputation in the community He has through the years been cooperative in church affairs and has handled the legal business of the diocese in Fort Worth and surrounding territories not only efficiently but gratuitously" Mr Crumley received the Frank Award for his work in the church and in the National Conference of Christians and Jews He was a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre Mr Crumley served as the diocesan attorney for the Dallas Diocese and later the Dallas-Fort Worth Diocese When the Fort Worth Diocese was formed in 1969 he was the diocesan attorney He helped organize the first Fort Worth Round Table of the National Conference of Christians and Jews and William Allison Attorney BRECKENRIDGE William Allison of Breckenridge died Monday at a Breckenridge hospital He was 74 I Graveside funeral will be at 2 pm tbday the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Bar Association the Tarrant County Crime Commission Inc and the Fort Worth Child Welfare Advisory Board of the State Department of Public Welfare He was a past president of the Dallas Fort Worth Diocesan Bishop's House of Charity the Dallas Diocesan Board of Catholic Charities the Catholic Federation Dallas Diocesan Council of Catholic Men and Laneri Booster Club In 1974 the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Bar Association presented Mr Crutrdey its most coveted honor the Blackstone Award The award is given annually to a Tarrant County attorney more than 65 years of age who exemplifies those attributes most highly prized by the legal profession and who has practiced in the county at least I 5 years In 1970 Mr Cmmley began to lighten his workload but he maintained his
