Limited 319 321 Hastings Street West Mo Basement. FRIDAY BARGAINS CANADIAN CASUALTIES Rosie Lloyd, Now at Pantages, One of Eleven Entertainers in Talented English Family. "There are eleven in our family all told and we are all In the theatrical business," said Miss Rosle Lloyd, the charming English comedienne, and a member of England's record theatrical family, to a World representative last night. Miss Lloyd, with her artistically rendered character songs, provides the brightest spot on this week's bill at the Pantages. "There is hardly a single month tn the year when some member of the Lloyd family does not figure prominently on the bills of the leading London variety theatres, and that has been going on practically for the past decade," Miss Lloyd continued, with a trace of just pride in the honor of belonging to such a talented family.

"Of course, my six sisters and myself have probably figured moat prominently of late, but both father and mother were very successful stage stars in their younger days, and even their father and mother were both prominent In stage and theatrical matters. So, you see, we come by whatever stage talent we possess quite naturally. We have simply been trying to keep up the family reputation in the theatrical world. "Who are my six sisters? Well, there are Alice and Marie, who have been here before in vaudeville and musical comedy. In fact, Alice told me she liked Vancouver and Victoria better than any places she had visited on her entire tour and I agree with her so far as Vancouver is con corned.

1 go to Victoria next week. Counting myself, we are the only three sisters of the seven who have been on this side of the Atlantic In vaudsvllle. Then there is Grace, Daisy, Annie and Maude, who are well known throughout the British Isles and get all the stage engagements they want over there. I have two brothers also John and Sydney who hfive been quite prominent in musical comedy as well as legitimate productions. John was ou here some years ago with a road show.

Sydney has given up his stage work recently to enlist, and Is now a member of one of Kitchener's territorial regiments and expects to go over to France when the big doings commence In the spring." The interview was temporarily Interrupted just then by the appearance of Miss Lloyd's husband for Rosie is married. Following the mutual Introductions came the Inevitable question as to how many of her six sisters were also married. Miss Lloyd stated that only one of the family Miss Annie, the youngest (for Rosie Is the fifth daughter) is the only unmarried daughter of the family now. AU the rest have taken to themselves husbands. Two striking peculiarities of the Lloyd girls aside from the somewhat similar but pleasing stage mannerisms which the whole family possesses Is the fact that all seven of the sisters have surnames of five letters each, and despite their simi Two Canadian casualty lists were yesterday: Fifth tlattnllon.
