GET RID OF HUMORS VOTERS FAVOR FREE FAIR; CITY ADOPTS VOTING MACHINES MISSOURI DEFEATS KANSAS IN TRACK MEET 68 TO 41 FEW EUROPEAN STATES KEEP OUT OF TROUBLE Only Topeka Store That Clocet Saturday at 6 O'clock the Year Round Hood's SarsaparlUa la the Medicine to Take Mke Pare Blood. Dry, moist, scaly tetter, pimples, boils, and other eruptions come from humors, which may be either inherited or acquired through defective digestion and assimilation. To treat these eruptions with drying medicines is dangerous. Hood's Sarsaparilla, the old reliable medicine, helps the system to discharge the humors, and improves the digestion and assimilation.

Get Hood's Sarsaparilla from your druggist. It may be confidently relied upon to do its work. It purifies the blood, tones the stomach, and builds up the whole system. It goes to the roots of the disease, and its beneficial results are permanent. It sets things to rights In the system.

Remember to ask for Hood's Sarsaparilla, because nothing else acts like it and nothing else can take its place. Advertisement. London, May 15. With the outbreak of a revolution in Portugal which, according to dispatches from Madrid, Is supported by the navy, Spain, Switzerland, Holland and the Scandinavian countries, are the only states in Europe which are not either engaged in war or have domestic troubles to occupy their attention. Among the belligerents interest wavers between the battle in Galicia, Flanders and Pas de Calais and the operations in the Dardanelles, from which Important news regarding the advance of the allies is daily expected.

AUSTRIA-GERMAN RUSH HALTS. So far as Galicia is concerned, the Austria-German rush seemed to have exhausted itself when the river San was reached and all the towns on the west bank of that river, including Jar-oslau, fell into their hands. This compelled the Russians to fall back in southern Poland so that their line now runs from Plock, on the lower Vistula, southeastward to Przemysl, thence south and east through eastern Galicia and Bukowina to the Rumanian 'Continued from Page 1. The money will be spent under the direction of the co-unty commissioners, and If the entire special levy is not needed, the balance will revert into the county treasury. The front gates of the big fair next September will be absolutely free to the citizens of Topeka, Shawnee county and the state of Kansas. The voting machine proposition submitted to the voters yesterday merely authorizes the city commission to adopt and purchase voting machines if it so decides. No special make of machine Is specified. The Kansas voting machine, made in Topeka, and declared one of the best manufactured in the United iStates, will be a contender for adoption, but the competition will be open to the voting machines of the country.

The use of voting machines will permit the use of smaller election boards, reducing expenses. It also will result in making the result of the election known as soon as the polls close, obviating the 24-hour count now necessary in some of the bigger precincts. At the latter end of this line the Russians are still pursuing their offensive and have driven the Austrians back in disorder for some twenty miles, but they themselves are being forced out of the Carpathian mountains and are in danger of losing Przemysl as the Austrians and Germans are to the north and south of the city. FRENCH PRELIMINARY MOVE. The British appear to have resisted successfully all German attacks on Ypres, while the Belgians have continued their attacks from the sea to Dixmude and the French have made further headway north of Arras. It would appear from the long French official statement issued today thai this offensive In this part of the Pas de Calais was not intended as the commencement of the big general movement, but was merely an operation which has been completely successful to rectify their front in which Carency formed a threatening salient. They had most formidable positions to overcome, but after a terrific artillery bombardment, they were successful.

They are carrying out an of-fensave in the Woevre and have made further progress in some sections, while in others the German claim to have obtained the advantage. lopeka township-Oakland precinct 104 Belvue precinct 22 Highland Park 4S Shunganunga precinct 15 College Hill precinct 33 Sutherin precinct 17 Hartsock precinct 11 Soldier township Muddy precinct Klmont precinct 11 East Soldier precinct 28 West Soldier precinct 36 Menoken township Menoken precinct 12 Silver Lake township Silver Lake precinct 23 Grove precinct 8 Rossville township Rossville precinct Dover township Dover precinct 13 Kaw precinct Willard precinct 5 Auburn township Auburn precinct 5 TRAVELERS INDORSE WILSON. Detroit, May 15. It was announced tonight that Pitcher Ross Reynolds, of the Detroit Americans, has been released to the Louisville club. "Doc" Reynolds was sold to Detroit in the fall of 1913.

for the highest price ever received by the Topeka management for a Topeka performer. The sum was said to have been $5,000, of which $4,000 was paid cash and the remainder in players. Reynolds made a good showing with the Tigers last season. He appeared in twenty-six games, pitching seventy-eight innings. He held opposing teams to twenty-six runs, or an average of two and eight-tenths runs per game.

This ranked him as ninth in effectiveness among the American league hurlerf. In his early season jjames this vear, "Doc" failed to show his usual form. His old fault of wildness bothered him. The necessity of keeping within the twenty-one-player limit probably brought on Reynold release. Reynolds and Cocreham were the Topeka pitching staff for the 1913 season.

Of course Manager Dale Gear had others who could take their turn when the two were tired, but his dependence was on the two husky young mound artists. Their work resulted in Reynold's sroing to Detroit and Cocreham to the Boston Braves. Cocreham received a minor slice of the world's series money last fall. This spring he was shipped to Toronto in the International leatrue. Reynolds first appeared in a Topeka uniform in the fall of 1912 from the Newton-Minneapolis aggregation.

In eleven games for the Kaws late in the feaon he won five and lost six with a near tail-end team. Then came Reynold's bisr year In the Western. His home i in. WLunku, Okla, Don't Forget, Only 10 Days Longer Presents Given Away After Each Sale SAM FRE Sales 3 and 8 p. m.
