Presbyterians to Vote on Building Boards of First Clmrch Favor Project First Presbyterian boards will recommend a religious education building program to the church's congregation in January. The combined boards-welders, trustees, and deacons unanimously approved Wednesday night a recommendation that the congregation take up a long-considered project of erecting a religious education buiding on the vacant lot north of the-church on Alby St. They also recommended that a committee be appointed to proceed with the fund raisings- Part of the necessary funds already are available either In contributions, pledgeV.or in a church trust fund. An architect's estimate on a plan already prepared for the building has set the cost at $140,000. Action by the congregational meeting would be necessary before any further moves could be made in the matter.

H. D. Dale is chairman of the special committee which has been carrying the building through the original planning stage. Also recommended for later action of the congregational meeting was a church budget amounting to $26,390 for local church expenses and $7,500 for benevolences. This included a $1,200 increase in the pastor's salary, which budget-stewardship chairman Eben Rodgers Jr.

explained a survey of other churches of comparable size had shown was appropriate. The boards also adopted recommendations that an effort be made to obtain use of the film, "Martin Luther" for showing in the church and that other worthwile motion pictures be obtained; and that a calling campaign this year be centered on the idea of reactivating present members of the church.
