When interviewed on tha subject of her illness, Mre. De Long said: "I was in bed half the time, suffering from pains that cannot be described to one who has never had rheumatism.

It would concentrate sometimes in one set of "Just yhat do you mean?" Why, sometimes It would be altogether In my feet and then I could not walk. At another time it would be all in my elbows and wrists, and then. I could not even draw the coverlets over my body. Whether the pain was in my ankles, knees and hips, or in my wrists and elbows. It caused me extreme suffering.

The doctor gave me no relief and I finally decided to get on without him." "Yours waa a hard condition to face without the aid of a doctor. What did you do?" "I did a great deal of thinking, you may be sure, I happened to have a brother-in-law who had used Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and who was a perfect enthusiast on their value as a purifier of the blood. Rev. William H. Ketcham, director of. the bureau of Catholic and Indian missions, and E. 21.

Sweet, secretary Indian Territory church federation, called on the president today to enlist hie influence to have incorporated in a statehood bill provisions against the sale of Intoxicating liquors in the territory. They told the president that since 1822 the national and tribal governments had maintained a strict prohibitory liquor law in the territory and experience had confirmed the wisdom and necessity of the prohibition. The president promised to take the subject uj for consideration and to sue his influence in behalf of a maintenance of good government in every respect in the proposed new state. Guthrie, O. Dee.

1. The returns have been made from all the counties of Oklahoma, and today Territorial Superintendent L. W. Baterjfaye out. thai tha school population on the fifteenth day of last January was 294,71.

Claims have been made that the population of Oklahoma at this' time is over 600,000. and in some quarters there has been an inclination ta question this estimate. It was questioned when it was given out immediately after the last election that not over 80 per cent of the vote of the territory was cast on the 8th day of November. The children, of school age on January 15th. 1900, was returned at 1K.92L The United States census of that same year showed the opulation of this territory to be 838,131.

Anyone can take- these figures and find that the whole, population of the territory was 1113 times the number of cnuldren of school age. Then taking the number of school children this year and multiplying it by the above and it gives for the population of Oklahoma this year 637,290. It is known' that great many people have moved tnto Oklahoma since the 16th day of last January and there is little doubt that if the Hamilton bill should pass this congress, that by the time Oklahoma elects delegates to the constitutional convention she will have over people. There are over 4,500 allottees of this class, most of them Indians, who for various reasons do not care to take possession of the deeds to their lands.
