It was reported to the member-(Conttnued on Page Two) Car Abandoned Auto Stolen In Sausalito One car was stolen and another abandoned, yesterday In Sausalito reported Police Chief James Doyle this morning. Thomas Richardson of Marin City told police he gave a sailor a lift from the Golden Gate bridge toll plaza. When he parked In Sausalito, he placed the car keys under the seat, let the sailor out.

When he returned the oar was gone. The abandoned car was found stripped of radio, generator, carburetor and atarter on Upper Marion avenue. It was registered to BUly j. catlatt of Richmond. security program, which by state law Is handled again by the county.

The welfare and security rate for 1940-50 was sUghtly more than 30 cents. Now the rate is more than 50 cents. The new county rate also includes new rates to support the county master highway plan (2.5 cents) and seven cents for retirement of county employees. Taxpayers who live in school districts where bond issues were passed recently, or where special district Corte MaderaOKs One Annexation, Rejects 4 Others Corte Madera quietly completed lis annexation plans last night with tne acceptance of one of their five possible expansions, and rejection of four others. Ordinance was introduced last night that would annex the property known as the Flfer-Moore addition It Is situated on Richardson's Island and has a narrow connecting corridor with the present Corte Madera boundaries. The four other possible expansions could not be completed, City Attorney John Ehlen said, because they were not adjoining present city limits or property owners wlth-ln the areas objected. It was announced last night that winejation of the Wilson-United Housing property, the hill excavation area west of the town, is. complete and the area is now a part of Corte Madera.

Only other action taken at last night's special meeting was the introduction of an ordinance calling for a special election for a street Improvement bond Issue. The special election will be held long with the general election on November 7. Councilman Charles Vwe, upon whose survey of the Corte Madera street situation the issue was based, introduced the ordinance.
