10 FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM Monday Evening, September 29, 1975 Ballet Sets Tour Of U.S. for Fall PHILADELPHIA (AP) Debut performances in Chicago's Auditorium Theater, Jones Hall in Houston and the Opra House in Houston and the Opera House in New Orlans top the fall 1975 touring calendar of the Pennsylvania Ballet. This follows the company's home subscription series in the Academy of Music Oct. 9-12 and 23-26 and performances Nov. 3-5 at Glassboro State College in New Jrsey.

There will also be a performance at Texas University, appearances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster, the University West Virginia and Pittsburgh. Forged Tickets Used at Concert NEW ORLEANS (AP) Forged tickets were used to crash a rock concert at the Superdome, officials said. Ben Levy, the dome's executive director, said the discovery was made Tuesday during a routine check. "It became readily apparent that the number stubs exceeded the number of tickets sold," he said. The concert Friday featured the Jackson Five and a spokesman said up to 22,000 of the $10 general admission tickets were sold.

There was no indication how many were bogus. I do, for one. And so may you if you see "Peeper," a weekend arrival at five area theaters. The title refers to 1940s slang for private detective, is and the setting postwar (1947) Los Angeles: the same ground by Mitchum and Nicholson as prewar LA stomped gumshoes.

FILM MAKERS Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff had the class to try and ape the "look" of "Chinatown." Earl Rath's cinematography, tinted with its vaguely DeLuxe color, is an impressive step in that direction. Marks, one opens with its title credits spoken by Guy of the better Humphrey Bogart imitators around. It's an ingenious device in (used previously "Fahrenheit which sort of lets audiences know they're going to watch a satire. At least that seems to be the purpose of the gimmick. The fact is, nothing could prepare you for the disappointment ahead.

W. D. Richter's (from a Keith Laumer novel, screenplay ed mess which combines the worst of is a disjointMack Sennett and Stanley Kramer. Poor editing does the little to help confused viewer. The fact that Caine is an Englishman operating a private detective agency in LA is feebly explained by a narrative line about his "coming over here after the war," and underscored with occasional references to his hatred for hot dogs and general inability to cope with Americanization.

Natalie Wood, as the inevitable Heiress in Distress, looks yummy in a lot of Patricia Norris threads. And if you can overlook all the silly dialogue, you may enjoy her performance. LIAM DUNN, a delightful character type, does his best job of acting since he played the nervous judge in "What's Up, Doc?" As the elderly, inept investigator who continually crosses paths with Caine, Dunn actually comes close to saving this dreary film at times. Sinister Timothy Carey, who has taken himself Timothy Agoglia Carey, to call4ing provides some good moments as a tall torpedo out to murder Caine. And there is journeyman support from Michael Constan.tine, a Caine client; Kitty Winn, Miss Wood's sister, and from Thayer David, as her weird uncle.

But mostly it's a losing fight. The title film's original was "Fat Chance," which should have furnished the producers warning enough of its flop potential.
