Harold Elmer of Worcester, spent Thanksgiving with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Elmer. They returned to their work Sunday night. Mrs.

William Damon of Sudbury, who was called here by the illness of her husband's mother, returned Sunday, as Mrs. Damon is now able to sit up. The West Salisbury Dramatic Club put on their play "The Deacon's Honeymoon," last Friday evening in the hall here to a well filled house, who enjoyed the play very much, and $14.50 was added to our Community Club BRIDPORT Mr. and Mrs. Archie Swinton and two sons visited a few days last week at the home of Mrs.

Swinton's sister, Mrs. Will Naylor, of Weybridge. Grange meeting will be held next Tuesday evening and the program 4s in charge of Mr. and Mrs. W.

A. Dukett and Mr. and Mrs. J. S.

Dukett Lawrence Condon underwent an operation for the removal of tonsils and adenoids Monday at the office of Dr. I. P. Sharon of Shoreham. He returned home Tuesday and is doing nicely.

Mrs. H. Lee Hemenway was called to Middlebury Monday by the serious condition of her mother, Mrs. N. W.

Russell, who has been ill for some time at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. D. Norton. Mrs Nellie Hemenway, Mr and Mrs.

CORNWALL Mrs. Sophronia Porter is with her son, Fred Porter, and family. C. E. Ward and C.

M. Ward spent Thanksgiving Day in Winooski, guests of Mrs. Chas. Lord. Mr.

and Mrs. Earl Peck of Avon, were in town last week to attend the funeral of their uncle, J. W. At wood. Miss Mary Viens, Joseph Viens of Northfield and Miss Leona Bisson of Barre were guests last week at William Ringey's.

Mrs. Beatrice Watt of Saxtons River and Fred Drolette of Bellows Falls spent several days last week at Joseph Drolette's. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Bruso, Wilard Bruso and Mrs.

Edward Murray and guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mead at the Addison House in Middlebury.

The "Busy Bees" held their monthly meeting at the home of their leader, Miss Elizabeth Hamilton, last Saturday afternoon. Seven members were present and they worked on Christmas gifts for the H-H Orphan Box. The next meeting will be held December 23 and there will foe a Christmas tree. There was a card party at the home of S. J.

LeslieNDay commenced teaching school in the North district last Monday as their teacher was called home by illness. Phil Newton and Norman Howe started Sunday night for Hartford, to find employment. School is closed until after the holidays on account of sickness, scarlet fever and chicken pox. Harold Marcelles is ill with scarlet fever and he and his wife are at his parents in Whiting. family and Mrs.

Palsa and Mr. and Mrs. Butterfield and family were Thanksgiving Day guests at Robert Shackett's in Shoreham. The Cornwall Utility Clothing Club will give an entertainment in town hall tomorrow evening at 7.30 o'clock, the program for which was given in last week's issue. Ice cream cones and pop in Shoreham.

There were fifty-six people present both from. Bridport and Shoreham.
