It's a fair question After all studies suggest that the citizenry comes by its perception of the world through television Shouldn't our leader be in touch with us? Very well Happily TV Guide magazine considered the matter and asked each of the three leading candidates including John Anderson what he turns to when he flips on the tube The candidates' responses are not encouraging Anderson says he's been too busy to watch TV When he's not too busy that is when he's not running for president he watches the news and "several public affairs programs" No wonder the Anderson campaign is fizzling People who would be impressed by that answer don't buy TV Guide Tube freaks buy TV Guide Anderson should have said "I've been pressed for time lately but I always make room in my schedule for reruns of The Partridge Family" It might have humanized the guy tempered that slightly pedantic image he's picked up Reagan's answer was better He's been awfully busy too he says but he watches the tube "whenever possible" I i I I HEARING TESTS 1 IMPORTANT 4 HEARING' TESTS CONItil 11 i 1 IMPORTANT 4 3 i 1 I- -h' '1 ii 14 A I 'i- -4: 11 I l' rt t) 14: ii: Tk 4 1JFi- ty L- 1'')' it II 1 1 A i I 1 4'4- i n'T 7 i A ne 11 i tv today 1 AND THEY'RE FREE A my AM) I FRE I 9 cm CHARLIE ROSE SHOW (5) Nathan Pritikin diet specialist at Jackjones House ofikariu All-in-the-Ear Hearing Aid Worn Totally Within the Ear What in the world is 90SM doing in Margaret Thatcher's Cabinet? ---z-44--- 1 -Ackk FAir Tt I L11 1TLLI: '41 1 Wha the orld 1 in Ni -It 4FOCAL POINT N- Dsle: 1 A' FRomsouNos at Jackjones 0 -) 'g House ofikarin ti -t: if- 19bA)'s D6c" '1 is 90FM doing i 7tr 4- ''444 't Margaret Thatcher i eolve' 1141: at F' I I :3 All Hearing Aid -E itl i-AXj Worn Totally Within the Eat Cabinet? 12:30 pm MOVIE: Libel (II) Dirk Bogarde Olivia de Havilland English man's suit for libel goes badly as he has difficulty remembering details 3:30 pm MERV GRIFFIN (5)Robert KleinRuth Gordon and Garson Kanin 7 pm THE WORLD'S MOST SPECTACULAR STUNT MAN (8) Dar Robinson performs several feats including an attempt to drive a car off the rim of the Grand Canyon and escape before it crashes on the canyon floor (5)Robert KleinRuth Gordon and Garson Kanin 7 pm THE 'WORLD'S MOST SPECTACULAR STUNT MAN (8) Dar Robinson performs several feats including an attempt to drive a car off the rim of the Grand Canyon and escape before it crashes on the canyon floor 1 i i 1 a I ti (I 11 pm TV MOVIE: Baffled (11) Leonard Nimoy Vera Miles Race driver has strange vision that involves him in the mysterious world of the occult 830 pm PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE (45 8) President Carter and Republican candidate Ronald Reagan will Ve heard in the League of Women Voters-sponsored debate live from Cleveland Late-night recaps of the debate are planned on all three networks 9 pm TIIE BODY IN QUESTION (13) Dr Jonathan Miller examines the ways in which philosophers and scientists have considered blood over the years and shows how the growing understanding has allowed it to become a public commodity tamtet-sezoolimsmourvost more efficient focal point in the ear This enables one to hear and understand conversation better in a crowd We offer a wide variety of hearing aids and we promise to fit you with an aid that answers your problem And our promise is backed by a satisfaction guarantee or your money back in 30 days We invite you to call for an appointment and take advantage of these free hearing tests Call 335- 2583 Jack Jones House of Hearing 400 Henderson Ft W'orth Texas Everyone should have their hearinf tested at least once a year If you have a hearing problem of any kind you owe it to yourself to have an electronic hearing test to determine what can be done to help you These tests are free and only take about 20 minutes of your time If you have a hearing loss and need a hearing aid we will discuss with you the advantages of wearing an all-in-the-ear hearing aid Did you know that hundreds of thousands of behind-theear and eyeglass hearing aid users are switching to all-in-the-ear hearing aids?
