Bruce Martin also of White Deer, who played the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin for th processional and repeated the softly during the wedding service. Miss Frances Fields, twin sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. She wore a beautiful coral crepe frock with a wide flounce of tulle beneath the uneven hem line. With her costume she wore a transparent picture hat, also of coral, deeply banded in velvet of corresponding shade. She carried an arm bouquet of sweet peas in shades of pink and rose.

Little Miss Zana Jo Curry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fred Curry of Noelette, acted as flower girl. She was dressed in a be-ruffled frock of shell pink crepe and wore pink TOaline around her head.

F. C. Young Woman Wounded RAYMONDVILLE, June 1G. Mrs. Roger Stiles, 20, wife of a young Wlllacy county farmer, today was in a serious condition in a Harlingen hospital from gunshot wounds.

She was found yesterday in her home, a pistol lying beside her. Her husband and their five-months old baby were' in an adjoining room at the time of the shooting. H. O. Waters of that city, and Jerome Merrell of Amarillo, son of Dr. and Mrs. C.

W. Merrel of White Deer, which took place Saturday morning at the First Baptist church of Lubbock. A powder blue bow gave accent to her picture hat of pink lace straw, and her slippers were blue satin.

Miss Mildred King of Fort Worth, maid of honor, wore a frock of powder blue chiffon and beige lace with beige slippers and hat. Her Colonial bouquet was fashioned of Pernet roses. Gaylor Hankins acted as best man.

Shortly after the ceremony the young couple left on a trip to California, planning to return by way of Grand Canyon and Colorado. They will make their home in Amarillo, where Mr. Merrell is engaged in the insurance business. The bride has attended Lubbock high school, Simmons university at Abilene, and Texas Tech, Lubbock. She studied pipe organ at a Baptist seminary in Fort Worth, and is an accomplished pianist.

Mr. Merrell also attended Texas Tech before entering business in Amarillo. Oil Production in May Has Increase AUSTIN, June petroleum production in Texas made a material gain during May, according to BerVard Nichols, editor of the Texas Business Review, issued monthly by the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Texas. This increase offsets all the progress made in th past six months, Mr. Nichols pointed Output in May totaled 20,877,000 barrels, against 25,350,000 barrels in Apjl and 25,034,000 barrels in May, 1920.

Daily average flow was 867,000 barrels, an increase of 22,000 barrels from April. This compares with 808,000 barrels in May last year. During the 562 wells were completed, of which 299 were pro- ducerf, compared with 726 com- plettlons and 373 successful wells in May, 1929. A meeting of the chairmen from the different churches was called for next Friday afternoon, when it is expected the zoning will be done-. Concensus of opinion at the first meeting, it wasS aid, was that no one church could Care for all the needy cases, and that greater efficiency would result from pre-arranged effort. Noted Inventor of Gyroscope Is Dead NEW YORK, June 16. Sperry, inventor of the gyroscope, tiled today at St. John's hospital. In addition to the gyroscope he Invented the gyrocompass airplane and ship stabilizer, high intensity searchlight, compound internal combustion engine, fire control apparatus, and numerous special devices, many of them for the United States navy.
