-departure will be shown from the unofficial figures which are now at the command of those who dabble in statistics for comparative and historical purposes In that case the pitching of 192(i will be placed on the record book as almost identical with hat of 1923 as to general effect 'There may be pitchers who will have dropped back in effectiveness exactly as there will be others who increased their electivenesa but that always happens The remarkable fact in connection with National League pitching this year is that when compared with 1925 there is a totality of likeliness between the years which is readily apparent Perhaps in no two years of the league's history and surely in no two successive years has the effectiveness of the pitching groups of all chills been on such an even keel as during this season and last year's Unofficially Itay Kremer of Pittsburgh leads the pitchers and the strong probability is that he will continue to lead when the official figures come out His victories and defeats are emphatically marked Kremer was the second best winner in the 1925 world series for Pittsburgh He captured two games and lost one while Aldridge won two and lost none When the 192tiv season opened- Kremer began to pitch as he had in the world series He was not one of those chaps who does everything in the series and nothing in the following season Unofficially this year
