Southwestern Pirates here this afternoon by a 26 to 0 score With the exception of the first quarterm which was only a kicking duel with Eckhardt of -Texas outpunting Lyons Chief Gardners Pirates were clearly outclassed although they put up a game fight Southwestern threw a scare into Texas in the first play of the game after kickoff when Lyons attempted a pass 25 yards to Perrin The Southwestern score of 13 to 14 The Tigers contested bitterly and doggedly every inch of ground and'in the final quarter after it looked like a Sooner walkaway the Missourians put up a supreme effort through sheer Sooner quarterback was the outstanding star of the offense work Johnson started the Sooners off in the first of the second period by receiving a punt and tearing down the field through the entire
