Robertson, has again embarked in tiie hotel business in our midst, having obtained theSluder building opposite the Central Hotel, and lit-ted it up as a hotel, for which puipose it is admirably suited, both as to looms and its general arrangements.

In the hands of Capt. Robertson, it cannot fail to be a popular resort for those stoppiug in our town lor he having served faithfully for several years on the editorial tripod, he certainly knows how to run a good hotel. Success to him. Redmond Interviewed From the Greenville, (S. News, we learn that William Gary, United States Marshal, who lives at Libert', Pickens County, on last Thursday, set out to have an interview with the outlaw Redmond, so called, at his house.

On his way he learned that Redmond was within a few miles of him, at one Chapman's. He sent a friend forward to meet Redmond. His friend not returning with any message, Gary decided to go forward to the place where he expected to meet Redmond. On his arrival there he found Redmond with three friends, strangers to liiui, and met with a friendly reception. During their interview, a sister of Redmond, who had discovered that Gary was on the road, galloped uu, no doubt to give information of danger to her brother; but she soon learned that the purpose of Gary was not hostile friendly, only.

Our informant states that Redmond said that he was at home attending to his own private affairs, and had no intention to interfere with United States officers or any person in any way whatever, but that be would die be lore he would surrender and go to jail. At the same time he gave Gary die warning that his life was in danger, though he would not raise his hand against him. We are left entirely in the dark as to the object of Gary In seeking an interview with Redmond. The result, however, was a declaration of armed neutrality on- the part ot Redmond that if he was left alone he would not raise his hand against any one, but would defend himself." a I I bat at S.
