the great usn council was held at Lawton Okla on May 11 and 12 a large attendance of the territory red men being preesnt VT1IOIM KMIII The twelfth annual council of the Catholic Knights of America held at Galveston during the past week a large attendance of members and delegates from all section of the state being in attendance The convention remained in session three days transacting a large tuan-tity of business before adjourning to meet at Corpus Christi in 190 the last day of the session a communication was received by cablegram from the pope as follows: "The holy father grants feast On Tuesday May 24 10 a there will begin a grand military parade of the Texas Army of Elks over the principal streets of the city From 4 to 6 the Elks will indulge in their annual bath in the gulf Mermaids will sport for the benefit of the visitors At 9 a grand military ball will be tendered at the Scottish Rite cathedral only those in uniform being permitted on the floor during certain
