Ridgewood News April 21, 1994 OBITUARIES ES Suzanne Barrett RIDGEWOOD Suzanne Terese Barrett, 63, of Woodbridge, formerly of Ridgewood, died April 7. She was a civilian writer and editor for the Department of the Army Logistic Equipment Directorate at Fort Belvoir until she retired in March. From 1965 until 1971, she wrote a weekly column for the Ridgewood News. For many years, she was a member of the Joe Jefferson Players, a theater group formerly active in the Ridgewood area. She was born in Detroit, Mich.

She received her bachelors degree from Marygrove University in Detroit, and studied for her master's degree at Fordham University in New York. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodbridge. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James Philip Barrett; four daughters, Melissa Barrett Czeh of Woodbridge, Liz Barrett maher of Naperville, Jamison Barrett Stewart of Alexandria, and Hilary Barrett Clancy of Bellefonte, her mother, Donna Marie Schulz of Woodbridge; a sister, Mary Alice Conroy of Riverview, and seven grandchildren. A private Mass was offered for the family April 11 in Woodbridge, Va. There will be a memorial service May 20 at 1 p.m.

at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Donations to the "Aquinas Tuition T. Barrett," Aquinas School, 13750 Mary's Way, Woodbridge, 22191, would be appreciated. Edward Berlinger GLEN ROCK Edward Berlinger, 89, of Glen Rock, formerly of Haledon, died April 18. Before retiring in 1975, he WAS a salesman for Apex Chemical New York City, where he worked for 50 years.

He was born in Jersey City, and moved to Allentown, where he attended loach schools and played the violin with the Allentown Orchestra. After moving to Haledon i in 1921, he was a frequent performer at the Paterson Masonic Club and other local functions. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood. He was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, Paterson, where he served as an usher for more than 60 years and an Elder for nearly 50 years. He had been a member and former president of the Haledon School Board for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Gross Berlinger. Services are scheduled for April 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, with interment in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Frank Cikutovich PARAMUS Frank J. Cikutovich, 70, of Paramus died April 16.

Before retiring in 1990, he was director of international operations for L.V.I. Enviromental Services where he worked for 25 years. He had been president of the American Insulation Corp. He was former vice president of the Bergen County Parks Commission, the Housing Authority, and the Mosquito Commission. He was a former Paramus Democratic committeeman.

He had served on the Paramus Board of Health and Board of Adjustment. A Navy veteran, he was a member of the Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6699, and Disabled American Volunteers Metropolitan Chapter 49. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 5680 and Elks Lodge 2001, Paramus. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation, Paramus, and a member of its Holy Name Society, He is survived by his wife, Josephine Antunovich Cikutovich; two daughters, JoAnne O'Hara of Glen Rock and Debra Angebrauck of Wakegan, a son, Frank A. Cikutovich; a sister, Ann Kovic of Paramus; a brother, Thomas Cikutovich of Manahawkin, and a granddaughter, Eva Marie Hangebrauck.

Mass was offered on April 19 at Annunciation R.C. Church, Paramus. Arrangements were by Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus. Donations to the Croation Relief Fund, Rev. Belanich, St.

John's R.C. Church, 239 Anderson Fairview 07022 would be appreciated. Josephine Delier a a a a a a a a RIDGEWOOD Josephine Delier died April 15. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Yerger, HoHo-Kus, Elizabeth Menrath, Ponte Vedra, and Marion Lyons, Brielle; a son, Richard, New Hope; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great -grandchildren. Mass was offered April 19 at St.

Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wyckoff, with burial in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Arrangements are by C.C. Van Emburgh, Ridgewood. Joseph Galanzo WALDWICK Joseph Galanzo, 66, died April 19.

Born in Waldwick, he was a lifetime resident of the borough. A graduate of Ramsey High School, he was employed by the U.S. Post Office as a mail carrier in Waldwick for 30 years. He retired in 1989. He was a member of the Waldwick Fire Department, which he joined in 1947, and served as chief in 1957.

He was a Navy veteran World War II, and a member of VFW Post of Waldwick. He is survived by two sisters, Jean Natoli of Waldwick and Anne St. Thomas of Allendale; a brother, Frank Galanzo, Saylorsburg, niece, three grand-nieces and one grandnephew. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank Sr. and Josephine Galanzo.

Visiting is April 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at C.C, Van Emburgh, Ridgewood. There will be a Fireman's Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered April 23 at 9:30 a.m. at St.

Luke's R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus, with interment in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood. Donations to the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department, 1 15 E. Prospect Waldwick, 07463, would be appreciated. Edwin Gibbs BERGENFIELD Edwin W.

Gibbs, 82, died April 18. Before retiring in 1974, he WAS an accountant for the Arabian-American Oil New York City. He was a member of the Club 50 Seniors, Bergenfield. He is survived by his wife, ter, Marjorie S. Embleton Marjorie A.

Woelfle; a daugh- car Vernon; a son, Edwin A. Gibbs of Plainsboro, and four grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for April 21, at 10 a.m., at Riewerts Funeral Home, Bergenfield, with interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations to All Saints Episcopal Church, Bergenfield would be appreciated. Isabel Nelson WYCKOFF Isabel Blossom Nelson, 83, of Kingston, R.I., formerly of Wyckoff, died April 12.

Born in Malden, she was a 1932 graduate of Leslie College in Cambridge, Mass. She was an elementary school teacher in Wyckoff for 10 years before she retired in 1962. She moved to Rhode Island seven years ago. She is survived by three sons, Theodore Nelson Wakefield, R.I.; Richard G. Nelson, Kingston, R.I., and John A.

Nelson of Oakland; 11 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Nelson. A memorial service was held April 16 at Kingston Congregational Church, Kingston, R.I, Arrangements were by the Hill Funeral Home, East Greenwich, R.I. Aloysius Pruzinsky SADDLE RIVER Aloysius F. Pruzinsky, 65, died April 15.

Born in Bridgeport, he WAS a lifelong resident of Bergen County. He was a member of St. Gabriel's R.C. Church, Saddle River. He is survived by his wife, Mary T.

Robert Vachon RAMSEY Robert A. Vachon, 67, died April 20. He was born in Newton, Massachusetts. Before retiring 12 years ago, he worked for North American Corp. He then worked for Rembar, in Dobbs Ferry as a manufacturing representative.

He was a graduate of Boston College and a member of the alumni group. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C.

Church in Ramsey. He is survived by his wife, Marie Kane Vachon; three daughters, Gail Zisa, Hackensack; Jean Martini, Englewood, and Anne Dougherty, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; a sister, Eleanor Grant, Mansfield, and nine grandchildren. Visiting is April 21, at the Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, Ramsey, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass will be offered April 22 at 11 a.m. in St.

Nicholas Van Wieren MIDLAND PARK Nicholas Van Wieren, 70, of Wickenburg, Arizona, formerly of Midland Park, died April 11. He had lived in Arizona for eight years.

He was born in Prospect Park. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps and a bombadier in the 8th Air Force. He flew 35 missions in B-17s. He was a member of the American Legion for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160, and held the offices of Chaplain and Tyler. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy; a son, Nicholas of Allendale; his daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Gordon Storms, of Chester, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy Bolkema, of Midland Park; a brother, James, of Wyckoff, and EST. 1912 J.H. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Fred four daughters, Kathleen deFerrari of Lanoka Harbor; Barbara Warren and Judy Beaulieu, both of Ring wood, and Eileen Gordon of Ramsey; a sister, Gladys Healy, also of Ramsey; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
