JC Graduation Slated Tonight; Stockard To Talk State Representative Jerry T. Btockard will address members of the Navarro Junior College graduation class at their annual commencement program tonight Rt 8 o'clock in the NJC auditorium. Dean Gaston T. Gooch will pre- lent the awards and President Ray L. Waller will present the diplomas.

The program follows: Processional: Pomp and Circumstance Elpar Billy Dan Clark Trlplett, minister, Westside Church of Christ, Introduction by Ray L. Waller, President of the College. Address Hon. Jerry Stockard, State Representative, Presentation of Awards Gaston T. Goch, Dean of the College.

Fred Newman Dies Late Sunday; Funeral Tuesday Fred Newman, 70, former restau- rent operator and well-known Cor- sicanafi, died at the P. and S. Hospital Sunday night following a short illness. He resided at George's Hotel.

Funeral services will oe held from the McCammon Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The rites will be conducted by Rev. Obie Barton, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist church. Surviving are sister-in-law, Mrs Harriett Newman, Holly- wodo, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Cancer Campaign Donations Listed The Navarro County American Cancer Society campaign has reached within $600 of its $3,000 goal, according to a report issued during the week-end by N. Suttle Roberts, treasurer. W. E. McKinney is county campaign director.

A $1 campaign in which everyone interested in combatting cancer and providing funds for research against the dread disease is under way and the chairman asks that the donations be sent to him.
