The millinery openings have been engaging the attention of feminine Morganton this week, being held at the millinery establishments of both Lazarus Bros, and B. F. Davis Son Tuesday and Wednesday. Miss Martha Ross came home Monday from school in Decatur, to be with her father, Dr. C.

E. Ross, who has pneumonia. Dr. Ross is at Grace His many friends are glad to know that he is better to Morganton of Shelby-Casar Railroad. An informal meeting of quite a number of Morganton's leading bus-ness men was held in the offices of Avery Ervin last Thursday night for the purpose of discussing the much-desired extension to Morganton of the Shelby to Casar railroad.
