E. Cotton, field secretary of the North Carolina Anti-Saloon League and one of the best speakers of the League forces, will address the people of this place on the "Responsibility of Citizenship." At 11 o'clock Sunday morning Mr. Cotton will preach in the First Presbyterian church and at 3 o'clock in the afternoon he will address a union meeting at the Clinchfield Presbyterian church. At 7 p. m.

he will speak in the First Baptist church at a great union meeting in which all the churches of the town will join. Mr. Cotton is an eloquent speaker and everybody is urged to hear him. Let standing room be at a premium at all these meetings. G.

This is to be a meeting of vast importance, as officers for 1922 will be elected at this time, and plans for the coming year dicussed. A committee is working upon arrangements for a boxing match or other means of amusement at the close of the meeting. All members are urged to be present and to take part in the proceedings of the evening. The law requires that semi-annual reports of births and deaths be made by township registrars of vital statistics to the register of deeds. The registrars of the various townships of McDowell county are requested to make reports to Register of Deeds R.
