Eisenhower says his worst mis take as chief executive was political, in not doing more to elect Richard M. Nixon to the Whita House. Eisenhower told a news confer ence Friday that it would ba "fatuous" for any man in public office to claim an error-free career. He added: "The worst mistake I made was in not working harder to elect the man I thought should be my successor," an obvious reference to Nixon who was defeated by John F. Kennedy in 1960.

The former president said it would be "profitless" to comment on Kennedy's administration, saying his disagreements with tha President are well known. Eisen however stopped here on a Euro, pean tour with his- wife, Mamie, two grandchildren and soma friends. Bromin-ski, Richard L. Bigelow and Jacob Schiffman, made the accusation at argument on a motion for judgment on the pleadings and on preliminary objections in proceedings stemming from sheriff's sale of a $35,000 home occupied by Degillio and his wife, Victoria, at 11 Spruce street, Mountaintop. Degillio objected to the jurist's accusation and Judge Lewis replied, "I don't care if you object or not." Several times during the argument the court scored Degillio for delaying tactics, and in the end advised the lawyer to settle his financial obligations with Atty. J. Earl Langan, who purchased the Degillio property at sheriff's sale February 23 and who is seeking possession of it.

Langan moved for judgment on the pleadings and Degillio countered by filing preliminary objections. Langan argued Degillio has not denied the sheriffs sale was held and did not deny Langan was the purchaser of the realty at the sale. Degillio contended Langan did not represent himself as a bona fide purchaser. Degillio once before filed preliminary objections to Lan-gan's amended complaint. He objected at that time that Langan failed to set forth the name of the principal involved in the purchase.
