Steele, formerly of Dauphin County and Sunbury, win is now serving a term in the Minnesota state prison, is reported to have admitted to California authorities that he murdered a younir woman near Hollywood on December 3, 1927. In the letter Steele is reported to claim that he "would rather be hanged than worried to death." According to records in the Dau-hin County Court, the man was sentenced here on June 9, 1914, for forgery. He was also convicted in York County on August 30, 1920, on forgery and a serious charge.
