According to Miss Ball, "we get three ounces of Orchard White from the druggist and add to it the juice of two lemons. This makes a full quarter pint of a perfectly harmless yet marveloiisly effective bleach. Applied to face, neck and arms, it bleaches any dark or discolored skin a beautiful rosy white.

It also makes any rough or coarse skin soft and smooth. Many of the girU use it, too, for a tan and freckle bleach.
