HO ie uhir t.i rrvmtrmnirfltr mu- nan. brilliant by the Hotis'on A TEXAS PIANIST Ivan Davis, a young pianist from Texas, will present a concert Monday at 8 p.m. in Mirm Auditorium on the Howard Payne College campus. A student of piano from age 12, his accomplishments won him scholarship for advanced study at North Texas State University with Dr.

Silvio Scionti. Davis also studied in Europe, a Fulbright Scholar, and an American prize winner in Naples and Lisbon. Rave reviews have srrceted Ivan Davis all across Ihe coun- try. This young pianist, na- live of Texas, will present a concert Monday at 8 m. in Mim's Auditorium on the Howard Payne College campus.

The Brownwood Civic Music Association is sponsoring the event. Dana Andrews stars as an American intelligence chief in "Spy in Your Eye" who has an operation in i which a lost eye is replaced with what later is revealed to be a miniature camera and sound transmitter. Both the Soviet secret agents and American agents are looking for the secret of a laser death ray. Costarring are Pier Angeli and Brett Halsey.

Two Russian scientists flee the homeland and become the center of a spy war between U.S. and-Soviet agents. Richard Harrison and Dominique Boschero star in the film which plays with "Spy in Your Eye," Thursday through Saturday at the Bowie. BACK FOR AN engagement at Bluffvue Drive-In is the "Ipcress File," starring the increasingly popular i Michael Caine, who also is a fine actor. The plot centers around England's "brain drain" and attempts by British to discover the source and recover their bril- liant scientists.

Caine plays an off-beat bad Army record, a Cockney accent and nearsighted eyes nevertheless brings humor and timing into the show which is one of the best spy thrillers out. This i is on Sunday through Tuesday. "THI TRAIN" starring Burt Lancaster plays Saturday only at Camp Bowie Drive-In. Lancaster is area inspector of the French Railway Service during the German occupation where he is forced to cooperate with the Nazis, and is actually a resistance leader. A dramatic-action-packed film which also stars IPati Schoiield colonel) and Jeanne Moreau (a widow who aids the underground).

A FUTURE DATE to remember is March "Barefoot in the Park" comes to town for a one-night engage- mcnt at Brownwood Coliseum. The six-member cast i is headed by a Hollywood favorite, Lynn Bari. Announcement of her selection came from former Bulletin staff member Don Coppedge, chairman of TPA's Texan of the Year committee and publisher of the Waxahachie Daily Light. Uvalde-born Miss Evans is the wife of Roy Rogers, popularly known as King of tht Cowboys. Winn Crossley, association president and publisher of the Madisonville Meteor, said this is the first time in the history of the state's largest newspaper organization that a woman has been selected as Texan of the Year.
