McGinty, retired Hazleton City police lieutenant, died last evening at his home, 702 North High street, Millville, N.J.

He retired from the local police force in 1952. McGinty had been a member of the police force 30 years and lieutenant 2G years. He joined the department February 15, 1922, and was named second lieutenant January 2, 1926, by the late Mayor James G. Harvey. He was elevated to first lieutenant in January, 1930.

Served Eight Mayors The retiring officer served under eight mayors, and three police chiefs. Lt. McGinty was employed as a freight and passenger brakeman for the Lehigh Valley Railroad before becoming a member of the police department. He participated in numerous major police investigations including the probe of the dynamiting of the late Detective Daniel McKelvey's home in 1927. McGinty was a veteran of World War 1, having served in France with the U.

S. Army Engineers Corps. He was drafted into the armed forces in May, 1918, and discharged a year later. Hazleton Native A native of this city, the lieutenant was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Neil McGinty. Surviving are: his wife, Irene Duffy McGinty, a son, Thomas, Millville N.J., and two grandchildren. Thp funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Conahan Funeral Home, North Vine street. Solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated at 9:30 in St.

Gabriel's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. AUXILIARY MEETS TONIGHT The Ladies Auxiliary of the Walter L.

OFFICES CLOSED MONDAY City Clerk Hugh Cannon said today all city hall offices, with the exception of the police department, will be closed Monday in observance of Flag Day. St. Anthony Feast at Monastery Saturday The Feast of St. Anthony will be celebrated on Saturday at Holy Dormition Monastery, Sybertsville It will begin with a mass at 7:30 a. m.

She was the former Marion Wheeler, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth (Klugston) Wheeler and the late Chester Wheeler. She spent her entire life in the vicinity. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, White Haven.

She was employed at Plateau Motel, Star Route, White Haven, and prior to that, at Split Rock Lodge. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dotter, who died in 1956. Surviving in addition to her husband and her mother are three children: Ronald Dotter, Ocean City, N. and Mrs. John Hughes and Keith Dotter, both Weatherly; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.

Newton Dotter and Mrs. Bernice Richards, both White Haven, and a brother, Chester. Services will be 2 p. m. tomorrow from the Kocher Funeral Home, White Haven, the Rev.

Durrell J. Seip, pastor of St. Paul's Church, officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven. Friends may call 7 to 10 p.

m. today. JOSEPH J. LAZAR Joseph J. Lazar, 41 Penrose street, Beaver Meadows, was dead on arrival at 10:40 a.

ALBERTS Mrs. Helen A. Alberts, 80, of 107 Colin Kelly court, Cranford, N.J., died Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Elizabeth, N.J., after a brief illness. Born in White Haven, she resided in Washington, N.J., for 30 years before locating in Cranford 10 years ago.

The deceased was a member of St. John the Apostle Church. Her husband died in 1938. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Doris Lester, with whom she resided; two grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Kane, Maple-wood, N.J.; and Albert Kane, Pearl River, N.Y.; and a sister, Mrs.

Catherine Hayes, Mend-ham, N.J. MISS ANNA B. VOTII Miss Anna B. Voth, 71, of 20 Oak street, West Hazleton, died at 11 p. Thursday at the State Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 26.

Born in Hazleton, October 23, 1892, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Amelia (Faulk) Voth. She resided in this area her entire life. The deceased was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Surviving are two brothers and a sister, William, Gustave and Mrs. Stanley Kirchdoerfer, West Hazleton; six nieces and three nephews.

The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a. m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home. Rev. Allen II.

Gerhard, R. D. 1, Weatherly, will observe 40 years of utility service with Pennsyl vania Power Light Company on June 16. Gerhard began his utility career as a helper in P. P.

construction department in 1924. In 1928 he advanced to repairman and later to repairman leader in the salvage department of the company's Hazleton service depot. In 1959 he was promoted to shop foreman at the depot, his present position. Gerhard is director of civil defense in Packer Township and is a radiological defense instructor. He is also a member of the Industrial Management Club.

Gerhard and his wife, the former Elelha Montz, are natives of Weatherly. They are the parents of two sons. Country (Hub Teeners Election, Uake Sale Valley Country Club teen-agers will combine election of officers and a bake sale on Saturday. AH teen-age members are asked to be at the clubhouse for the election at one p. The bake sale will get under way early Saturday morning to give the early bird golfers an op portunity to make a purchase.

All parents are asked to bake or donate items for the affair. They should be taken to the club either Saturday evening or early on Sunday morning. Those unable to get the baked goods to the club may have them picked up by calling Mrs. Frank Famalette, 455-4196. BOSSIG PROMOTED Joseph R.

Bossig, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bossig, 6 East Green street, West Hazleton, has been promoted to the rank of Airman Second Class.
