Friday criminal case cannot be made under the Reno said The investigation showed that the city did not adequately control the dispensing of gasoline to several hundred employes authorized to use the city pumps Reno said The Hialeah City Council asked Reno to investigate the missing gas in June after it learned that 3900 gallons of gasoline disappeared or were unaccounted for in the previous two months BEFORE THAT an average of 550 gallons of gasoline were unaccounted for each month The city normally uses about 40000 gallons a month The council which named itself as an investigatory board attempted to investigate the problem and subpenaed Mayor Dale Bennett and about half of the 1375 employes The investigation was cut short when Bennett refused to testify before the City Council saying
