Liverpool, Jan. seven missing seamen from the American liner Philadelphia landed today on the Welch coast, after the collision Saturday with the British sailing vessel Ben Lee.

The occupants of the automobile were members of a prominent family here. No arrests have yet been made. It is said that the robbers got some jewelry and money. The police are looking for a large negro who is said to have struck one of the automobile occupants down.

Langford, Jan. famous mine fire that has been raging for more than sixty years, has burned through the immense concrete wall which the Lehigh Coal Company sank in front of the fire several years ago at a coast of more than one million dollars. The fire is said to now threaten an adjacent mammoth vein of coal.

The wall w'as sunk 100 feet and was fifteen feet thick. A large force of men are busy today drilling deep holes in the earth, pumping water and slushing it directly on the subterranean fire in the hope of preventing a rapid spread if it is impossible to extinguish it. Peking, China, Jan. Province of Kweichow is in full rebellion against President Yuan Shi Kai, who recently accepted the throne of China as emperor when tendered by the law -1 making body. The governor of Kweichow province was forced to flee for his life on the 16th of January, according to word je- ceived here today. Two important towns in that province have been captured by the rebels. Foreigners are being protected by the United States gunboat Monocacy.
