Today I'm going to tell you about a truly excellent piece of cinematic work from Mike Myers and Dana Carvey! It's called "Wayne's World" and it's a comedy for the ages! NOT! In fact it's a lame-o-rama a slopfest an un-movie! It's as funny as a screen door in a submarine! If it were a president it would be Abraham Stinkin'l Yes it's an hour and a half of dialogue just like that And all the lines are said with exclamation points at the end! But we at the newspaper respect your eardrums so we'll speak quietly and thoughtfully from now on Let's see how to describe "Wayne's World" the feature film? Well if the 10-minute segment from "Saturday Night Live" is a spicy little cocktail weenie the movie version is a foot-long stuffed with sawdust to make it seem meatier The TV version is funny in a mindless way and the movie is mindless in an unfunny way I blame Mike Myers who cre U2 concert tickets Tickets for U2's March 3 Charlotte performance will go on sale Saturday morning The band will play at the Charlotte Coliseum 100 Paul Buck Blvd (off Tyvola Road West) All tickets are $25 The Coliseum will hold a lottery at midnight EASTERN FEDERAL MANOR 607 PROVIDE NCI ROAD 334-2727 111115 il1r117 1 MI UNIVEIMITY ptAa I ow S4-1187 SOUTHPAW( 0061410a10 1111 364-6621 Cheek Listings 131411-M 11 TOWN CINEMA 6 t000 VP 6 5491629 EASTLAND OtNFPAL ft2 1 1 litysto 1119 1111:" --11 r7 1 i I I II I I 1' 'f 144lit -14)tirl: i LIJIti wd li kjilik011 1' i 4i4V 'AV' 0 11 ist: i4Z 13 I 4 CI UNIVESITY MCI SOUTHPAW( wort r0 I mow Sio0061 oat 1111 S41-1182 364-6621 Cheek Listings r11111111111 411 i --i Ii 4 i 71 i i-: '1 1 iti ::) fl -i 71 'i 1: 1 171r14')'''''''' 4i777 7:1 at Naaat CV1 TOWN CINEMA 6 EASTLAND EiNSAI "11110 5680408 5491679 "NM 5680408 I C1 UNIa'R'SAL UNIVERSAL CM MOOS INC MARY 1IPii3 Now Showing At These Theatres (Please Check Times Daily Subject To Change) GENERAL CINEMA EASTERN FEDERAL THE MOVIES al SARDIS NORTH 1(iffste i fah) LAN 1 IP RO 'L'1 i 0 I i il 0 1 I MMEGIRMISIN111110 dill 10181101111001408GMEILVICES 0 MiltiMAIMIMMATAILEITI '-'r-4-4' AK -57 1 1101011110181111 a GENERAL CINEMA CAMAIIKE TOWER PLACE 8 MATTHEWS 10 0001WAY II 011 NC 111 I 100400K1 541-9010 141-1469 For Show Tintes tiALT111111ML 1:11 1 GENERAL CINEMA TOWER PLACE 8 HIGHWAY II At PARK SOAP 5414010 I cAmkome MATTHEWS 10 I 114 I 011040100K1 1141-7469 For Show Times 1 iALruiteittul TOWER PLACE 8 I HIGHWAY SI of PARK ROAD 541-9010 847 I SEAN I CONNERY Enjoy The Sneak Preview Tomorrow At One Of These Locations GENERAL CINEMA TOWER PLACE 8 HIGHWAv SI et PARK ROAD 541-0010 GENERAL CINEMA SOUTH PARK SHARON Rod FAIRVIEW ROADS 364-6622 in rIto 0 Ticl tti-jitaz I zi STUART MASTERSON AND MARY-LOUISE PARKER CARMIKE 'ARK TERRACE I PARK RD A WOOOLAWN 525-2191 PARK TERRACE 2024 LORRAINE BRACCO He turned his back on civilization he had the power 1 to save it 1 4 'l': 4 1 i '''''42Zit IOC 1 lit 'k rr-r- ''''i "00' r- r' 4'''': :4 's rr 1 i He turned his back on civilization Only to discover he had the power to save it 11 7' ')J 9 tk k) '''''''1-rTkeJ0 I il 1 '-1'i" -07 4 I 1 1 "'F': I 1 i i i N- )7 -1 -i' -1 s'1 41 "4 1 ri ''''''Nkiiikiil' -iricfst4 1' 1- 4s' 1 :1 iN444 ''1 i 't 1 't :::4 11' c'1 A' '4 1 '-ttli'1 r-- 4 ::1 1 1 i 1 ''fi 3- 'P -t I ct "4141 i '7A4 4 r- :7 -'k '12'': i i 1 3 1 -L-4--(4 1 id 1 -ti-: S''''''rra-: 1 '''i'lif 1 'i '4: i lo 144:4 441" i '14ki fPI 'i 'ft r7 4: 3- 1 ''--t4 Ak 4 rf cyl -'4ico 4 ''''''4'''' 'i-' pil41 1' '1 '1 I 1 't 'It 41:::::: -4' i gf-7j 1 '3'1 1 ---r-: -3' lE: ii'-' H-: i r0 '-i lir ilrio 4t --org '4i ::1:1: -7 'i 1 44 --4'-f iS If" :7 pli III I 3 -) 1' 1 Ii4 44 -H 11' 4 itai" 1::::: 0 'it 1114SE ::74:: i 5 i M10 14 4 i lli -1 rif 1: it k' 1 11) 116:1 II -'r- --I' i -i7-7--------lrr-" PAIAMOUNI NCRIRES pRESEC A iORNEM1(Y 5 1 :1 i 'Ili' m1'1 i il iori' -'---2-J: 1 c' 1 sDmysDcAR115gDiiltsotP10E iil: ri" V-i 11 '''1 36 50889116101WUM Multi 08 '7'7-'1171'7 :0 1 -4 vamai knit WALT OIRS7110(615371t5 I cluilDry plfrtnly: 4 4601)iloy404' 1: EASTERN Fa0a aaa Ca Quoit I CanaVal Ma Pua PARK 51 CINEMA I PARK TERRACE i MATTHEWS 1 'i MA Tii11S 1 0 TOWER PLACE 8 Pakaa lial a 100awra TOWN CINEMA 6 5254121 MALL Awl 8477469 477 zr i 541-9010 7At166motam 1 I i MOVIESotTHE LAKE 54 I aaftaal aantaak S'6UTHViik 892-3841 tAsTFoNflot881 11 as1 APON111 i naK I THE MOVIES PA 'i4'EAML A i 5'''" 'A VitiiriKE MOVIE at 892-3841 li 1 DELTA 6 5329117 11111COOtiLlUt 892-3841 8477024 2nd Big Week!
