Mrs. Torrey, 90, worked with her husband, the late Fred M. Torrey, in creating the statue of Abraham Lincoln and his son Tad that is on the west grounds of the Iowa Statehouse. She specialized in studies of children and was the sculptor who did Tad in the Lincoln-Tad statue.
