Kc-'--' 1 I 5 jtci Coincident with the semi-annual statement of the condition of the Bank of Italy, A. J. Mount, Senior Vice President of that institution, issued a statement which expressed the belief that 1928 will be a good year and that there is every indication that the improvement in certain major economic factors will be continued.

Mr. Mount, in a statement, said: Business for the coming year will start under the favorable influence of the prosperity that has characterized the closing weeks of 1927. That it will continue to be good, we have every reason to believe. "Right now, for example, there is a marked improvement in the steel industry, reflecting better conditions in the manufacture of automobiles. This in turn extends its benefits to a number of related suppliers of materials and accessories, with the result that we see a probable Winters activity, considerably greater than the seasonal average.

Agriculture is also in a more favorable position than it has been for some time, indicating that the farm market will again figure in the business calculations during 1928. The importance of this should not be lost sight of, particularly in view of the fact that we are still chiefly agricultural in our economic complexion. In- BORN. HOUSE TO RENT.
