season ticket buyers commit to the cause said Marty Thomas businessman and theater professional Thomas and six other investors will put up $600000 to open the Center Stage Dinner Theatre in Pineville in December But they have only until Sept 1 to convince enough season ticket buyers to put up SIO0 each for the first season The theater has moved into its space in Pineville Town Centre near the intersection of NC 51 and US 521 where a 400-seat facility is planned The plans will be for nothing said Thomas if he does not sell 2000 season tickets The $100 season tickets would be good for five shows in the first year The money is being kept in an escrow account that will automatically refund the season ticket purchases if not enough money is raised Thomas quit his securities bro ker job with Shearson Lehman Hutton in Charlotte to open the theater He was music director of Charlotte's Showcase Dinner Theatre when it closed about 312 years ago The most well-known dinner theater in the
