It does not have any secret doctrines; it does not have any professional clergy or priesthood. Baha'u'allah's vision of a united world begins with each man and woman. Individuals must have a high moral standard and a new basis of belief if they are to become citizens of one world. "Let your vision be world-embracing, rather than confined to your own "That one indeed is a man today who dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race." Bahai's (Ba-ha-ees) live in more than 300 countries and territories of the world. Bahai's are people who formerly had different and conflicting religious backgrounds.

They had been Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Zorastrians, Hindus, Protestants, Catholic, or else they had no religion at all. They have found in the Bahai Faith a basis of unity that makes the competition of sects and denominations seem unimportant to them. Bahai's are people of different national and cultural backgrounds. But the Bahai teachings have given them a loyalty to humanity. The word Bahai comes from the name of the Founder of the Bahai Faith Baha'u'allah.

The name Baha'u'allah (Ba-ha-oo-ah-lah), means "The Glory of Bahai in name only means "a follower of Bahai in practice means to believe and express in daily life the following principles and beliefs: That there is only one God. Called by many names in many lands, but nonetheless the same God. Mankind is one. All peoples of the earth are created of the same original parents by the same Cod. All religions have a common foundation and in truth agree.

Each religion has been founded on and by a messenger or Manifestation of Cod sent to the people to guide them through the age in which they lived. Each had a specific purpose and mission and all are equal. Science and religion are in harmony and supportive of one another. In this age science and religion will agree. Religion without science becomes superstition.

Science without religion becomes heartless technology. Men and women are equal Equality does not mean sameness, but given the proper education and guidance each can develop qualities and capacities that were not open to them before. BAHA'U'ALLAH MADE THESE ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE 1800's. That was the beginning of a new age and one more step in what is known as "Progressive Bahai's believe that Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad, were all Manifestations or Messengers of Cod, sent to bring God's word to mankind.
