MARTIN LEE EPPS Miss Mary Alford Honored At Saturday Luncheon Miss Ruth Billingsley was hostess Saturday at the Gordon Country Club at a luncheon honoring Miss Mary Alford of Henderson, bride-elect Dr. Thomas Gabriel Coleman of Amarlllo. Miss Auord, whose wedding takes place Oct. 15 in Henderson, also 'has been non- ored with a tea siven Friday afternoon by Mrs. Jess Alford and Mrs.

Ben Clower ot Dallas, and a luncheon Thursday Riven by Mrs. Ben Marablc and her daughter, Mrs. David Boron of Shrcvcport. Miss Billingsley and Miss Alford were Chi Omega sorority sisters at the University of Texas and Miss Alford has visited Miss Billingsley numerous times in Paris, Dining room ot the club was decorated in pink and white. 7our large bowls of pink and white as- tors and candelabra of candles adorned the dining table.

J. Eayford, and Miss Bess Rayford, Some 60 guests called during the afternoon. Mrs. Ben Marable and her daughter, Mrs. Borcn, wore hostesses Thursday for luncheon at the Paris Golf Club, honoring Miss Alford.

The luncheon table was decorated with a centerpiece of astern and large dahlias. Hostesses presented the bride- to-be with a gift. Guests besides Miss Alford and Class will open with a dinner served by the S. in the basement of the church at 7:30 p. Wednesday, Reservations may be made ot the church office (telephone 505) not later than Tuesday, The Rev.

Barron is considered an authority on adult and young adult work, the Rev. Ernest D. Piott, pastor of the local church, said. The Rev. Piott said the church is looking toward organization ot young adult fellowship from the classes this week to serve the needs of those of this ape In the church.

LESTER SINGLETON New pastor at the Ramseur Baptist Church is the Rev, Lester Singleton, who came here from Grand Prairie where he was pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church. He succeeds the Rev. E. E. Taylor, who has gone to the Decatur Baptist Church.

The Rev. Singleton's subject Sunday morning will be "Is Your Home a Failure or a Success? Sunday evening his subject will be "Will God Hold Us Accountable For All We Do In Lite?" MISS MYRA JO PRESTON New organist and director of music at the Central Presbyterian Church Sunday will be Miss Myra Jo Preston of Arlington, who arrived in Paris Wednesday after a trip to Philadelphia and New York. Miss Preston holds B. A. and B. M.

degrees from North Texas State Teachers College, Denton, She taught organ and piano nt North Texas Agricultural College in Arlington for one year and later served as graduate tutor in the school of music at NTSTC, She formerly was organist and director of music at the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington and organist at the First Christian Church in Der.ton. Miss Preston has held offices in young people's work in the Youth Synod of Texas. Her most recent office was that of permanent clerk of the Svnod.
