These lots all front upon the Cumberland road; those upon the north side extending to the brow of the hill, whilst those upon the south embrace all the property and buildings intervening between said Cumberland road and Wheeling creek.

10, which is I 5-10 acres in size, is the stone hotel, now occupied by Mrs. French, with all the improvements, comprehending stables, ice houses. Ac, The remaining lots, uumberrd 1, 'J, 3, 11, and 13, respectively. are without improvements, but favorably located for residences and excelling any other liody of land in Ohio county for gardening purposes. The hill property couuected with the estate is laid oft' into two farms, the tirst of which contains fifi acres, occupied by James Smith, bounded on the east and north by Atkinson's ridge road, easy of access, well timbered, prodnetive and two-thirds arable land, together with two substantial frame tenement houses.

The second farm fronts on Little Wheeling creek, not rooro than yards from the Cumberland road, oxteuding back to the ridge road, thereby giving two desirable outlets, one by the Vatioual turnpike and the other by the County road, containing vi acres. The hill portion of this property abounds in timber of the best quality, whilst the low lands is well adapted to farming purposes. Parties desiring a more particular description of the above property are referred to two plats of survey of the same, one at the Recorder's office of Ohio county, and the other at the residence of J. Held to Bail. Henry Briesock was brought before Justice Kammer yesterday morning, charged with being implicated in the cutting affair we mentioned two or three days ago. The evidence beiug sufficient to detain him, lie was held to bail for Inn appearance, to the amoant of $500. Notwithstanding the bad weather last night, Washingtou Wall was well filled to witness the performance of the Sefton's. This eveuing will be the benefit of Miss Aunie Sefton.

"Toby" I Vance, for petit larceny, was brought before the Court, and he pleaded guilty to the indictment and was sentenced to i be coDfioed in the jail of Ohio county for the period of 60 days from date. State of West Virginia rs. John Mason, foi larceny. A jury was impanneled, who, having beard the evidence, brought in a verdict of guilty of petit larceny, and he was sentenced by the Court to be confined in the jail of Ohio county for the period of fonr months from this date.

State of West Virginia James Richard alias James Koss. indictment for an attempt to commit burglary, was bronght into Conit. He pleaded guilty to the indictment, and was sentenced to the Ohio county jail for the period of two months. Cases set for to day: Margaret McCormack, for petit larceny, and William Fredericks, grand larceny. The Coart adjourned to meet this morning at 9 o'clock.
