The health department doesnt say whether they are the Hitler or nazi type, but they are just as annoying and irritating. WHAT ITS LIKE Quoting from the health departments report: Rubella is a febrile infection occurring in epidemics, characterized by a polymorphous rash, sometimes resembling that of measles, sometimes that of scarlet fever and sometimes of both at the same time. Few or no constitutional symptoms exist, but there is almost always enlargement of post-auricular, sub-occipital and cervical and occasionally of other lymph nodes. The incubation period is 14 to 21 days and the period of communicability approximately seven days. The average age of cases is higher than for measles.

In the matter of uncertainties and mistakes in diagnosis, rubella assumes considerable importance. Scarlet fever and measles are usually, though by no means invariably, diagnosed correctly. Rubella is frequently, if not usually, thought to be something else and various other conditions are often called rubella. In general, rubella occurs in epidemics and in older children rather than infants.
