Sunday School attendance for Aug. 5: Illinois River, 74; Taylor, 35-, New Hope, 40; Chewey, 37; Faith Chapel, 16. Skelly School started Monday, Aug. 5 with a large enrollment. Carl and Hart were with Gu3 Hart and family last week at Ft Smith, Ark.

This week they are visiting Arthoria Robinson and others near Westville. Bob Galyean has gone for feed for Hampton Feed Store. Has Check -up Etta Morris went Monday for a health check-up with her doctor in Stilwell. Her health has been better this summer. Chewey Community Church folk have been busy building some additional rest rooms and Sunday School rooms.

After working at the luihber yard at Lincoln, for seven years, Chester Hasting decided to work nearer home. He is now working at Jet Plastic, Siloam Springs, as It repair maintenance man. On seven acres of land, Truman Tabor harvested over 500 bales of millet hay. He needs a larger hay barn. Frankie Strickland has a trailer home in the east yard of May Harris.

Jessie McCoy is having a house built near her daughter's home. Gene Colblirn is home with a cast on his leg after a three- week stay for an operation on ligaments and muscles in the lower limb. An offering for John Snell, who is ill, was given Sunday. Sallie Blackwood was unable to attend services because of a severe cold. Visit Doctor Some of the folks who have had to pay a visit to their doctor this past week are: Alvis Morris, Mrs Jeff Morris, and Bertha Sixkiller, who is in the Siloam Springs, Hospital, and Ella Beavers.

Eunice Ward is in the hospital from results of burns when her smock caught fire. The smock' was made of a flammable material. Oh, for more old fashioned gingham and calico. Willie Ross is at home with a pain in the lower rib cage because of a few weeds in his yard. Buster Chance passed away at Memorial Hospital.

Services Postponed By Mrs Jess Walters (Aug. 6) Proctor Community Church and Sunday School postponed services last weekend because of work being done on the church. Monday afternoon, three of my cousins and Jess' sister stopped by for a short visit and on Tuesday his brother and sister-in-law stopped by for about an hour.

Our world is really in a mess. It is awful to know just how little people care for one another. There is very little real love anymore. Our friend. Mrs William C.

Pyrtle, passed away July 29th. They held her funeral and burial at Winona, where they lived for some time since his retirement. There are so many changes made until we don't know when to go or when to stop. Attending Revival We have been attending the revival at Whitmire held by Lloyd Caches for the past week. Sure has been good.

The singing has been good and people from every direction coming for the services. The church was full every night. We visited the Reedy Trading Post the other evening. Visitors in our home Thursday evening were Hoyt (Pete) Drain and Nettie Drain and daughter, Almedia. We had a nice visit with them.

Also, Ruby Murrie and her mother visited us in the afternoon, Jess and I made a business trip Friday to Tahlequah. South of Four-H'ers At Conference Several Adair County 4-H Club members attended the annual Northeast District Leadership Conference in Miami, July 23-25. They were accompanied by Wayne Eakin. Extension Agent, and Ora Lee Kirk, extension home economist.

Those attending were; Bob Ray, North East District vice-president; Sharron Parsons, Shelly Keeter and Scott Winter, all of Stilwell: and Linda Smith, Cave Springs. All are junior leaders of their clubs. They attended workshops in leadership, rights and responsibilities of young people, and environmental awareness. Teachers Attend V-Tech Meeting Teachers of vocational and technical education in Adair County high schools and the county vo-teeh school were in Stillwater this week for their annual conference at Oklahoma State University. Programs were planned for teachers of vocational agriculture, business and office education, distributive education, health occupations, home economics, manpower development training, technical education, trade and industrial education, cooperative vocational education, coordinated vocational education training, guidance and counseling personnel, and area school administrators.
