The CD center is located near the casting pool in the sportmans display.

Combining a variety of emergency service agencies, the exhibit show's equipment and pictures of the Sheriffs office, Highway Patrol, Red Cross and other The items displayed range from a small model showing different ways a building can collapse to a 513,000 mobile radiological laboratory. The laboratory is a big truck equipped with scientific apparatus for the detection of radioactive fallout. One of the devices is a "glove box, in which technicians. can handle contaminated material without touching it. Detects Radiation The radiological truck will be used, in the time of an atom bombing, for the detection of radiation, the analysis of contaminated materials, and the determination of fallout patterns.

Air, food, water, soil and clothing will be given precise and rapid analysis, and the tion radioed to CD headquarters and thru it to the public. The County CD has five such laboratories in operation. Volunteers interested In serving with the CD may sign up at the 100 by 50 foot exhibit. Numerous persons have already been enrolled during the course of the fair, according to Howard Earl, County CD head. Pamphlets and booklets telling of the work of CD and how to help in a national emergency are distributed at the CD exhibit.
