Bob nearly suffered sunstroke at the Miami-Dade Junior College North practice field Coach Bob Devaney sent the Cornhuskers through a two-hour scrimmage their first contact since the Oklahoma game Nov 21 "Whew it's hot" said A1I-American offensive tackle "When you have a great offensive reputation like Nebraska attention is focused on the offensive line more than it normally would be" Newton reasoned "At some schools offensive tackles are lost in the shuffle" When Newton arrived on campus from Cerritos some of his new Nebraska teammates started calling him "Big Fig" The nickname stuck and 6-foot 4-inch 245-pound body "I think some of us nearly died But at least today didn't seem as bad as yesterday so we must be getting used to the heat" THE SCRIMMAGE was the first for Nebraska since
